Expertise
Theme Park History, Theme Park Planning, Immersive Fan Experiences
- Blake was part of the operations teams at Disney's Animal Kingdom during the park's first-ever season of nighttime hours. After-dark safaris hit differently.
- The most inspiring thing Blake has seen in his travels? The Dolby Theater's empty spaces on the walls to denote Best Picture Oscar winners yet to come.
- Blake's first trip to New York City was a grand total of three hours. He prioritized laying eyes on as many locations Kevin McCallister visited as possible.
Experience
Blake has had the privilege of experiencing the themed entertainment industry's unique destinations from many sides — visiting them as a guest, writing about them for publications, and working to bring them to life in guest-facing and backstage roles. In addition to the Static Media family of websites (shoutout to /Film!), you can find Blake as a contributing writer to Attractions Magazine. Blake loves helping others learn more about the places that inspire them — and the stories they'll discover there.
Education
Blake majored in Communications and minored in Film Studies at Appalachian State University. He is an alumni of the Disney College Program.
